Breathing life into old material

Reviewing your content each year is an important step towards keeping your courses up-to-date and relevant. In this eTraining, Lauren shared some simple techniques that you can use to freshen up old content, along with a few current design trends.

Step One: Review your content.

Print or PDF your modules and take some time to focus on them. Give them a solid review, checking content for accuracy, relevancy, and appropriate challenge level. Make sure that all interactions function properly with the correct feedback. I find this easier to do on hard copies with a nice red pen. Something self-satisfactory about it.

Remove unnecessary fluffy text where possible. People are losing more and more of their ability to focus on the text to make it as easy as possible for them to get the key information they need.
